Πρόβλημα με rtl8169 gigabyte 1Gbit

Καλησπέρα,
Χρησιμοποιώ Debian έκδοση Debian Etch 4.0
και πυρήνα 2.6.8-2
Αγόρασα πριν λίγες μέρες μια gigabit κάρτα προκειμένου να αναβαθμίσω την ταχύτητα του δικτίου μου στο 1 Gbps.
Η κάρτα έίναι μια "Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC"

To σφάλμα εκτυπώνετε στην οθόνη κάθε λίγα δευτερόλεπτα απο την στιγμλή που ενεργοποιώ την κάρτα στο /etc/network/interfaces
r8169: eth1: Reset RTL8169s PHY

Υ.Γ. κατέβασα τοyw drivers  1.05 από το ακόλουθο url

παρόλα αυτά δεν μπορούσα να ακολουθήσω τις οδηγίες...
