Στο mutt-1.5.x εγώ χρησιμοποιώ:

orion:/home/keramida$ fgrep charset .muttrc
# my terminal can show all characters of this charset
set charset="greek"
# what different charsets I will use when sending
set send_charset="US-ASCII:ISO-8859-1:ISO-8859-7:UTF-8"
orion:/home/keramida$

Κι όποιος δεν έχει σωστό charset στα posts του λαβαίνει ένα ευγενικότατο
μεν, ξεχεστήριο δε email με ελπίδα να φτιάξει το λανθασμένο setup του
και να γλιτώσει το σύμπαν από μερικά ακόμη ``σχεδόν-Ελληνικά'' μηνύματα.
