Pentium IV 1.4 and Pentium IV 2.8 GHz

 Platform: RedHat 7.2

Case 1:
Intel Pentium IV 1.4GHz

Case 2:
Intel Pentium IV 2.8GHz

In house code (built in FORTRAN) runs faster in case 1 than in case 2 !!!
(always using the same compiler or even different compilers)
Any suggestions, tips, help????
