Μου έχει τύχει ακριβώς το ίδιο, με το ίδιο mouse σε RedHat όταν όμως έκανα
make του πυρήνα από source. Με το πυρήνα που ερχόταν το RedHat όλα ήταν μια
χαρά. Ο πυρήνας που είχα φτιάξει εγώ ήταν ο 2.4.19.
Και τα καλά νέα είναι ότι το πρόβλημα μου είχε λυθεί κάνοντας αυστηρά τα
παρακάτω:

Setup kernel: [make modules if you want]
      1. Under InputCore Support
      	    Enable  <*> Input core support
	    Enable  <*>   Mouse support
	         [Ignore resolution, that is for tablets]
      2. Under USB Support
      	    Enable <*> Support for USB
	    Enable one of the --- USB Controllers
	            [example <*> UHCI (Intel PIIX4, VIA, ...) support]
	    Enable <*>   USB Human Interface Device (full HID) support
      3. Under Character devices ---> Mice
         [may not be nessacey but just in case]
	    Enable <*> Mouse Support (not serial and bus mice)
	    Enable [*]   PS/2 mouse (aka "auxiliary device") support
