 /etc/host.conf (h /etc/nsswitch ean to systhma sou einai
 GNU libc-2.x based opws to Red Hat 5.x). Gia to host.conf
 prepei na exeis sta keywords dipla sto "order" kai to "bind"
 gia na xrhsimopoihsei o resolver to DNS. Prepei ta periexomena
 tou /etc/host.conf na einai san ta parakatw:

order hosts bind
multi on

 Auto shmainei kyta sto arxeio /etc/hosts prwta, kai ean den
 breis to hostname tou opoiou to IP address psaxneis, tote
 steile ena request mesw DNS (bind). Kati antistoixo ginetai
 kai sto arxeio /etc/nsswitch alla den exw edw oute glibc-2
 based systhma oute Solaris-2.x gia na sou grapsw thn synta3h
 tou.
