we are working on a proposal/ experimental workshop that will take place on june
06 in a community of repatriated greek pontians from x-soviet union at Farkadona
near Larissa, that is suffering from deep problems of social incorporation and
unemployment.
the proposed workshop "EMERGENCY CASE SITUATIONS; FARKADONA CASE, Participatory
Devices and Processes of Auto-organization" will serve as a tool for social and
cultural incorporation, attempting to envision a final model that could
contribute to the social incorporation of the community at the reception
society of Farkadona as well as the local society of the district of Larissa
and Trikala.
Will emphasize on networking the diasporic communities, connecting Farkadona
with other communities of repatriated in Greece, through the internet, running
free software. Then, together with the communities, we will search for
possibilities to establish the ways the local production can be redefined; a
collaborative process of getting familiar and creative with new technologies,
arts and crafts that will investigate possibilities of new production
approaches through the acts of recording, editing (with FOSS), publishing
(sharing) and licensing (creativecommons.org).

we are a mixed team greek/brazilian and it would be very important for us,
preparing this step to be in contact with Hel.L.U.G and discuss together for
further ideas and collaboration.
