[Rule] FC5 + Slinky 0.5.04 ISO somewhere?

No, I actually had a standard fd0 as well as a USB floppy drive - the
problem turned out to be that the Xen guest installer does not need a
boot disk but just a FC5 install tree (accessed via nfs, ftp or http).
So I thought there might be some way of using the Slinky files on the
floppy boot disk to somehow do a barebones install but it does not look
possible . .

Yes, I have done some Slinky installs before but I thought I might be
able to use the floppy install stuff for Zen guests but I don't think I
can.

OK, I will have a look.  I think I need to replace the package selection
mechanism in the standard FC5 install tree somehow.

I don't think I can use a standard Slinky install, I think I just need
to use the Slinky install info about doing a minimal install from the
standard FC5 install tree somehow . .

I think all the work that has been done in Slinky could be very useful -
I would like to set up a number of Xen guests each with 64/128MB RAM and
500MB/1GM disk space - some with no X, some with lightweight X.

Interesting move!

I will look at the source stuff and see if I can make use of the Slinky
install tree info somehow.  I will keep the list up to date with any
progress I can make.
