[RULE] Kernel loading problems (CD-install)

Michael,
Thanks. Dan & I have been working on this a bit in the last few days
off-list. I leave tomorrow for a two-week vacation far from 'Net
connectivity, but I have acquired some webspace where I will post the
results of what we have come up with so far before I take off.
