This archive contains the code you need to add to the end of your GROFF fonts
to make them 8-bit clean. This will let groff use the entire ASCII charset
for typesetting documents with the -Tascii option.
X
Manual pages, SGML sources, Linux HOWTO's, etc. etc. All use the -Tascii
option for rendering textual representation of their documents.
X
INTSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ
X
1.	Locate the directory of your GROFF fonts. From now on this will be
X	noted as $GROFF_FONT
X
X	This is usually one of:
X
X - /usr/share/groff/font/
X - /usr/lib/groff/font/
X - /usr/local/share/groff/font/
X - /usr/local/lib/groff/font/
X
X	if you fail to locate it ask the person who installed GROFF on your
X	system. He should know...
X
2.	Copy the file ./groff.pl to the directory $GROFF_FONT/devascii
X
X	eg:	cp groff.pl /usr/share/groff/font
X
3.	Run the program groff.pl through Perl (preferably 5.000 or later):
X
X	eg:	perl groff.pl > groff.dat
X
4.	Append the file groff.dat to the ascii font files:
X
X	eg:	cat groff.dat >> R
X	eg:	cat groff.dat >> I
X	eg:	cat groff.dat >> B
X	eg:	cat groff.dat >> BI
