how can I set the "from:" field when using the mail linux command

Sorry αλλά:
# cat /etc/debian_version
3.0
# ls -l `which mail`
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root        71592 Apr 11  2002 /usr/bin/mail
και:
$ cat /etc/mandrake-release
Mandrakelinux release 10.1 (Community) for i586
$ ls -l `which mail`
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root mail 81496 Ιούλ 19  2004 /bin/mail
όπως και:
# cat /etc/gentoo-release
Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16
# ls -l `which mail`
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root 88104 Mar  2 11:26 /bin/mail

...έχεις κάποιο λόγο να θεωρείς ότι όλος ο κόσμος έχει το δικό σου 
/bin/mail replacement? Νομίζω ότι η απάντηση που δόθηκε είναι μερικώς 
άκυρη, εφ' όσον δεν συμπεριλαμβάνει τη σύσταση "use nail" ή "nail your 
problem down" ή κάτι αντίστοιχο.
