An exeis unpartitioned space sto disko sou, apla ftiaxneis to partition 
(pouxou) /dev/hda3 kai pas kai tou les:
# mkswap /dev/hda3
# swapon /dev/hda3

Bazeis kai to antistoixo enty sto /etc/fstab kai teleiwses.

An den mporeis na kaneis repartitioning, mporeis na ftiakseis ena swap 
file (a-la-Windows): Ftiakse ena dummy arxeio me to dd, oso 8es na 
einai to swap file sou:
# dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=1024 count=256000
(ayto gia ena swap file 256MB)
# mkswap /swapfile
ktl...
