nForce2 USB HP 5550 problem

Χαίρετε,

Έχω πρόβλημα στο να κάνω τον HP-5550 εκτυπωτή μου να δουλέψει με το 
Mandrake 9.2(kernel 2.4.22). Δεν τον βλέπει στη USB. Πριν, σε έναν P3, 
με την ίδια διανομή αλλά άλλη μητρική μου δούλευε μια χαρά. Έχω την 
εντύπωση ότι το πρόβλημα υπάρχει στο USB αλλά μετά από λίγο googling δεν 
βρήκα να είχε κανείς πρόβλημα με τη συγκεκριμένη μητρική (Gigabyte 
7N400-L, τσιπάκι nForce2) και μου φαίνεται
