GCC upgrade

Ρε παιδιά, επειδή είμαι νέος και ψιλοχάθηκα : κανένα καλό howto για να 
αναβαθμίσω το gcc υπάρχει; Προς το παρόν έχω gcc 2.95.3, glibc 2.2.5-38 
σε SuSE 8.0 (kernel 2.4.18). Βασικά σκέφτομαι ότι ο προηγούμενος gcc 
είναι εγκατεστημένος με rpm οπότε δεν ξέρω ποια πακέτα να βγάλω ...
