Logiko. Sto unix, ka8e arxeio (directory, link, device node, named pipe, ktl 
ktl ktl) katalambanei ena inode. Sto -i dhlwneis ana posa bytes xwrou
8eleis na dhmioyrgeitai kai ena inode. To beltisto noumero einai mia ektimhsh 
toy mesou mege8ous twn arxeiwn poy prokeitai na apo8hkeyseis. Ean baleis poly 
megalo ari8mo, kindyneyeis na ksemeineis apo inodes estw kai an to filesystem 
einai sxedon adeio. Ean baleis poly mikro ari8mo, ta inode tables 
katalambanoyn shmantiko xwro sto disko, eidika gia megala devices. 

To default synh8ws einai 2048 (toylaxiston sta dika moy filesystems poy 
de 8ymamai kan pote kai pws ta eftiaksa). Ek twn ysterwn diapistwsa oti 
einai mallon pessimistiko - ta filesystems moy einai ola sxedon gemata 
kai exw apeira inodes eley8era. Mporousa na balw poly aneta 4096. 

Se ena filesystem omws poy 8a to xrhsimopoiousa gia news spool, opoy to 
meso filesize einai gyrw sto 1.5k, me 4096 bytes/inode 8a ksemena apo inodes
poly grhgora. 

Ena allo poly xrhsimo option einai to Sparse Superblock. By default to ext2fs
apo8hkeyei backups toy superblock ka8e 8192 blocks. Se megala filesystems, 
ta superblock backups katalambanoyn POLY xwro. To kalo einai oti to option 
ayto einai tuneable kai se hdh yparxonta filesystems (man tune2fs). To kako 
einai oti meta de mporeis na diabaseis to filesystem sou se 2.0.x kernel.

Ena filesystem xreiazetai ektos apo ta inode tables, kai superblock(s). Ola
ayta pianoyn kapoio xwro. O kalyteros tropos na apo8hkeyseis pragmata se mia
disketa pantws (kai o pio symbatible oson afora ta unices) einai to tar: 

tar -cf /dev/fd0 /var/news/spool
