 The Packages You Need

There are several packages you need to update if you are going to use the Linux
2.2
kernels. Mainly these packages are ones that were updated since the original
release
of 5.2 that the final 2.2 kernel needed.

Several of these RPM's will only work with the 2.2 kernel and NOT well if at all

with the 2.0 kernels. If you need to go back to a 2.0 kernel, you should make
sure
that the earlier RPM's that these replace are available.

3.1 Intel 386 packages

     http://www.kernel.org for the latest kernel RPM and where you nearest FTP
     server is.
     ftp://updates.redhat.com/5.2/kernel-2.2/i386/dhcpcd-1.3.16-0.i386.rpm. This

     package works for the 2.2.x kernel, but not with the 2.0.x kernels.
     ftp://updates.redhat.com/5.2/kernel-2.2/i386/initscripts-3.78-2.4.i386.rpm
     ftp://updates.redhat.com/5.2/kernel-2.2/i386/ipchains-1.3.8-0.i386.rpm.
This
     package works for the 2.2.x kernel, but not with the 2.0.x kernels.

     package works for the 2.2.x kernel, but not with the 2.0.x kernels.
