Από ένα euro-compatible font που είχα για Amiga, υπήρχε κάπου στο 
readme το ακόλουθο:

   In December 1998, ISO prepared making Latin-9 a new standard. It 
replaces the international currency sign (the shining sun symbol 
meaning "position"  in cell telephone books), with the euro. Latin-9 
is in fact intended to  replace the Latin-1, so it comes with seven 
other newcomers. The Finnish rare retroflex letters s and z with 
caron moves in (as regards these characters on the Amiga, see the 
virtully unique 13pt AmigaSans by David Marshall <dave at durge.org>); 
so do the long awaited lc and uc French oe diphtong. The uc ÿ meets 
its smaller relative after more than a decade of 8859 uniting 
activity. During this time, the Unicode has grown enormously, 
compared to its coding bit increase, but hasn't revolutionized more 
than some comp.fonts contributors and ASCII conscious persons. And 
ISO has  introduced 13 different coding schemes, some only slightly 
improvements, e.g. when they decided to release one with the Turkish 
s and g with their unconventional diacritics (cedilla and breve, 
respectively) instead of the Icelandic "tounge forth"-letters eth and 
thorn...

Τα παραπάνω, εντελώς πληροφοριακά. Καταλήγει σε αυτό:

   The font in this archive is called FlodisEuro. It's kind of a euro
compatible Latin-1 font (euro at ASCII value 164, _not_ the 128 
Microsoft core fonts choice) [...]

Η Μικρομαλακή δυστυχώς για μία ακόμα φορά δεν ακολουθεί τα στάνταρ. 
Ετσι, όπως και με τους τονούμενα ελληνικά κεφαλαία, θα υπάρχει 
πρόβλημα και με το euro και θα χρειάζεται μετατροπή για αυτά. Κρίμα, 
γιατί θα ήταν πολύ χρήσιμο ένα ISO standard με τα παραπάνω στοιχεία 
να συμφωνούν.
