Υπάρχει πολύ καλό hardware που εχει θαφτεί και που έχει σημαντικές πιθανότητες
να επιβιώσει με το Linux, πχ οι Alpha. Οι οποίοι Alpha έχουν μια καταπληκτική
FPU, αλλά η Digital τα εκανε σαλάτα στο marketing. Το Open Source καταργεί το
μειονέκτημα της ελλειψης software - αν μπορείς να κάνεις compile ό,τι θέλεις,
έχεις το software που θέλεις. Σε αντίθεση με τα NT σε Alpha πχ, για τα οποία
μου βγήκε ο πάτος να βρώ software.
