Αυτό είπα και εγώ. Δεν είπα ότι θα δίναμε 40.000 για ένα drive, αλλά αν
δεν επέλεγε αυτόν τον δρομο η Apple, θα έβγαινε κερδισμένη, στη θέση της
Microsoft.

Σωστά, όμως o Bill δεν γράφει τον κώδικα των Windows, αλλά είναι το
αφεντικό. Είναι ας το πούμε πετυχημένος επιχειρηματίας. Τώρα όσον αφορά
το Linux, πιστέυω και ελπίζω να μην γίνει αντικαταστάτης των Windows,
γιατί θα του μοιάσει και θα χάσει όλη τη χάρη του Unix. Δεν νομίζω πως
θα φτάσει στο σημείο να προεγκαθίσταται όπως τα Windows και να πουλιέται
σε ανθρώπους που δεν έχουν ξαναδεί ποτέ H/Y. Θα πρέπει οι τεχνικοί των
καταστημάτων να κάθονται να κάνουν compile τον kernel του κάθε Η/Υ που
πουλάνε κι αυτό διότι στους "πρωτάρηδες" ξεφορτώνονται όλο το μάπα
Hardware που μπορούν να βρούν, για να βγαίνει φτηνό στο σύνολό του.
