ethernet tis Xerox sto data field periexei arxika 2 bytes pou einai o
identifier gia to protocol type pou akolouthei (px IP,ARP,klp) kai meta 
akolouthoun ta Data (frame tou protokolou tou anwterou epipedou). Ayta
ta 2 bytes anaferwntai ws "ethertype".
Sto de IEEE 802.3 to data field periexei 2 bytes arxika pou anaferwntai
sto megethos tou Data field, akolouthoumena apo 3-4 bytes pou einai
enas header gia to LLC protokolo (protokollo tou epomenou epipedou pou 
kanei kapoio eidos multiplexing), kai telos akolouthoun ta data (frame 
tou epomenou epipedou). 

 Ayta apo tin thewria twra stin praxi den exw dei pouthena paketa
IEEE 802.3 gia na sou pw an einai akribws etsi, alla oson afora to
standard ethernet (auto tis Xerox), ta pragmata leitourgoun akribws
etsi.
