Pretty rational needs that are really _not_ fulfilled that wellon the hardware
you have with NT or 95, right? That's why you're
thinking about Linux... like me and many others who are forced to
use Solaris or other commercial OSes to do bussiness and then get
hang by Sun or any other vendor until the next release comes out...

But this is not related to comp.databases.object and I will spare the rest
of the smalltalk for comp.lang.smalltalk or some other related newgroup :)

*** especially linux ***

as you have very well noted !

ahem,

please stop self-advertising... unless you got really good news !

I thought so...

no good news, just bad ones.

C' mon I can see your boss standing behind you and telling you what
to write... our DBMS does this, our DBMS does that, but (pity) it
doesn't support linux.

Of course, I 'm sure you know that ceasing to support such a major
platform as Linux has become the last few years, with such a great
potential for future growth, you're only hurting yourself. After all,
pushing me and many others to use Windoze for work does not mean
that I will respect or worship it as you do.

As far as support on commercial platforms, such as Windoze, or...
any unix (isn't linux a UNIX system? I honestly thought it was until now!)
you have to be kidding about it... or you have never been left talking
to a music-phone as I have, because you obviously payed the BIG
bucks it takes to get really usable support...

But enough with this crap... You _will_ have to support Linux, soon!
When you start losing customers... and I will be the second one,
because Jenny Forss was the first one !!!!!

Lots of 'em, from all Linux users worldwide, to you, too...
