Stis 4/11 steilan ayto to mhnyma sto comp.os.linux.announce :
News Peruser is a simple, X-based, offline newsreader, intended for
use by single-user Linux systems with dial-up access to the internet.

As of version 2.34, News Peruser will now use a news server's news
overview database, if it has one (only old implementations don't), to
retrieve header information, resulting in MUCH FASTER header
transfers.

Other features of News Peruser include true threading by references,
decoding of UUencoded, XXencoded, base64, and BinHex encoded binaries,
support for authenticating news servers, and simple mail support via
POP3 and SMTP.
