Hello

This year's event will be the fifth (or sixth) and will be the first one for me. As I understand it, it is mostly social with a bit of technical interchange. The group is made up of seasoned travellers who enjoy the company of Linux users. Their numbers vary from 50 to 200, depending on the year. My best guess would be that this year will attract more rather than less. Some will bring families (hopefully all the kids will have hats to protect them from sun stroke.)

On the Greek front we have a group of Linux people who live in the area in Crete where we'll be based who are gathering photos, details of excursions, accomodation, good local eating and drinking spots, so that we'll be spending a super week together. The two "clubs" of Greeks involved is our lug (http://www.hellug.gr) which is made up of users spread all over Greece and the wireless group in Crete. Most of these are under 35 years old and have a range of Linux/floss knowledge from beginners to advanced. My white hair tends to stand out in this crowd :))

Richard
