Yes, there will be support for Japanese Gengou and Taiwanese ROC
calendar when the i18n calendar part will be open-sourced. Other
calendars would have to be implemented. There could be some code changes
necessary throughout the entire OOo code base, propably there are still
some assumptions about a year consisting of 12 months here and there..
though I tried to eliminate it whenever I came across.

Islamic and Hebrew calendars are important. But I don't think the
Chinese lunar calendar is important, since it wasn't a requirement for
StarOffice 6.0 ;-)  Hindu and other Indian calendars might be important
too.
