Subject: Open Source for Education Web Site

A new Open Source for Education website is online

http://www.ose.org.uk

Hosted by the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (or
Becta for those short of breath), the site is aimed primarily at schools, but
is also of interest to the FE, HE and Lifelong Learning sectors.

Its early days, but there is growing interest in Linux in schools (as will be
at the BETT IT show at Olympia this week)

i would welcome comments on the site and would particularily like views on how
the 'technical Linux' community can participate in secure the best possible
solution for schools in the future.

The site includes details of a conference at the University of Birmingham in
July, which you may also find of interest

regards

Malcolm
